Employee Questions
- How do I register with People Priority One for training and employment? – You can register your interest by filling out this online registration form. If you would like to enquire about training courses that may lead to employment, please visit our preferred training provider Skillscorp Training. You may register with People Priority One whilst completing your course to be provided priority assistance to obtain employment in your chosen industry. Training and employment programs which are structured to meet your goals.
- What kind of positions do you have available? – People Priority One receive a variety of positions in the construction, trades and labour, hospitality, administration and many other industries. We recruit people for short term (usually a minimum of three months) or long term group recruitment positions, or sometimes the employer wants to trial you first in their workplace for a certain period, to see if you suit the position. Whatever your career goals are, we are the people for recruitment in your preferred industry.
- Whose payroll am I on when hired with People Priority One? – When you are placed in a position with us you are on the People Priority One payroll and we pay your insurances etc. We treat you like a valued group recruitment employee, and provide you with any OH&S induction and safety clothing you may need on the job. When employed through our group recruitment and people recruitment programs, you are representing People Priority One.
- Is there any cost to me, at any time, if I’m looking for a job through People Priority One? – Absolutely nothing! People Priority One’s group recruitment services are free to candidates. If we place you in a group recruitment position, there is no fee charged to you. You will ideally be a resident of the Northern Rivers of NSW, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Brisbane or Toowoomba as we source local people for recruitment for local work projects.
- How often is payday? - Payroll is processed weekly. Timesheets need to be sent to us by 10.00am each Friday.
Employer Questions
- How much notice do you need to obtain staff? - We are a rapid response service and will do our best to provide people once recruitment has been completed to you that day or at least the very next day.
- What is the charge rate for People Priority One group recruitment staff? - Once we have established the nature of the work with you, we can establish an hourly training and employment charge rate. Charge rates start from as little as $19.00 per hour. Once we have completed our credit check and you have signed our terms and conditions you are able to order group recruitment staff at anytime just by giving us a phone call. A work place health and safety check will also be completed on your work site.
- What does the charge rate cover? - The charge rate covers the employees wages, tax, super, workers compensation and protective equipment (if required). The group recruitment and training and employment processes prior to the employee commencing employment is at no charge to you.
- How do I put in a request for staff? – By contacting People Priority One, they can consult with you as to the type of employee you are looking for, what skills and qualifications you will need them to have and establish the duration of the work, what days and hours and any other specific needs for the job at hand. - Can I call People Priority One after hours? – Yes. People Priority One is a rapid response service, you can call us any time you have a problem or just a general enquiry on (07) 3387 0170.
- How do we pay for staff? – People Priority One employees will have a group recruitment timesheet on site. At the end of the week an onsite supervisor must sign off on the hours they have worked and fax or scan and email the timesheet to our head office. You will receive an invoice each week for the work completed and a copy of the timesheet filled out and signed.
- What type of staff do you have on your books? – We have staff from construction, trades, engineering, general labouring, hospitality administration and many other industries. All People Priority One staff have been reference checked and copies of all qualifications are kept on file and updated when necessary. We will give you employees that have all the qualifications, tickets and experience needed to fill your role. We conduct pre-employment training and employment programs to ensure candidates are job ready when they attend your bsuiness for interview.
- What happens if the employee isn’t working out or they are not able to complete the tasks given? -We will immediately organise a replacement group recruitment employee with skills and qualifications needed for the position.
- What are the minimum hire hours? - Usually you must have the hired employee for a minimum of 4 hours a shift.
